We at TIMS have targeted and developed areas of excellence through focused, high quality cross-disciplinary research. The research conducted in and through TIMS draws on our strengths across diverse areas of sport, exercise, leisure, tourism and hospitality and methodologies to deliver consistently excellent outputs and make valuable contributions towards the fields within which we teach and conduct investigation. The scientific work undertaken within TIMS embraces different styles in educational research, sports science and the critical social science approach to festivals and events, leisure, sport studies, and tourism. TIMS has a national and international reputation for the quality of both its research output and the high profile researchers it is able to attract as research and teaching staff, visiting professors, and students. Our scientific work is focused on exercise physiology and nutrition, physical education, children obesity, hospitality management, marketing, consumer behavior, planning and development, events management and leisure. TIMS scientific outcomes also aid our teaching, and help staff and research students to develop their research through a vibrant research culture that encourages debate, collaboration and interaction. The quality of research undertaken at TIMS is evident in the outstanding results achieved during the previous years through extensive list of paper published in well-known international and national peer-reviewed journals, scientific events both Serbian and abroad. During the past time, TIMS realized several scientific projects funded by the Serbian Ministry of Science and Technology, Regional Department for Development, international funding bodies and private companies and entities. In years to come, we will continue to strive for excellence in sport and tourism research, focusing on mechanisms related to health behaviors and environmental changes, from communication to leisure behavior; from geography to rehabilitation.
