TIMS ACTA – Introduction TIMC Acta (Journal of Sport Sciences, Tourism and Wellness) is a scientific journal published on behalf of the Faculty of Sport & Tourism. The TIMS Acta publishes articles of a high standard on various aspects of the sciences of sport and tourism, covering a number of disciplinary bases, including hospitality and tourism operations, marketing and consumer behavior, planning and development, as well as exercise science, physiology, sports medicine, wellness, psychology, sociology and other interdisciplinary perspectives. In addition to reports of research, review articles and book reviews are published as well. The emphasis of the Journal is on the human sciences, broadly defined, applied to sport and tourism. Besides experimental work, the subjects covered will include topics such as the impact assessment and mitigation, globalization, research methodologies, leisure and culture, design of sports equipment and playing facilities, research in training, selection, performance prediction or modification, and stress reduction research findings in the growing area of tourism and sports sciences to both national and international audience. The readership for this journal is varied and ranges from academic research workers to professionals in tourism, management, recreation, and sports coaching and training. |
